When severe winter weather or other emergency conditions occur, school may be closed or starting times delayed.
Infinite Campus notifications will be sent regarding a delay or closing due to inclement weather by 6 a.m. You will receive a phone call, email and Campus Portal Message relaying the message; if you do not respond to the phone call, a text message will also be sent.
This is good time to ensure your contact information within Infinite Campus is up to date!
The district’s status will also be posted on our website breaking news scroll, Facebook and Twitter. The following television stations will be notified of school closings or delays:
WHAS (Channel 11);
WAVE (Channel 3)
WLKY (Channel 32)
WDRB (Fox 41).
Please be sure to listen carefully to media school closing announcements as we are announced as Clarksville Community Schools.
If schools are closed:
There will be no school for all Clarksville Community Schools.
School will resume the next day unless additional closing announcements are made.
Make-up days will be announced and the school calendar will be updated.
If starting times are delayed:
School will begin two hours late. Buses will run two hours later on their normal routes.
Afternoon dismissal will remain the same.
Full Day Kindergarten will attend on the delayed schedule.
A.M. Preschool will not attend if start times are delayed.
P.M. Preschool will attend at the regularly scheduled time.
In the event of inclement weather, it is possible buses will run later picking up students at their stops. Parents, please prepare children to wait for an extended period of time for the bus to arrive. If you have any questions regarding school closings, delays, or procedures, please contact your building principal.
