Students and staff members at Clarksville Middle School hosted a very special Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to honor and thank those who have served our country in the armed forces.

The CMS Band and Choir were on hand to perform for the crowd of students, staff and family members present in Charger Hall.

The students were treated to two special reenactments performed by Mr. Vaughn, a frequent CMS substitute teacher. Mr. Vaughn reenacted a soldier from the War of 1812 and World War II, complete with authentic uniforms to match!

Veterans in the crowd, as well as our own veteran staff members, Mr. and Mrs. Claycomb and Mrs. Hart were honored and recognized for their service to our country.

Lastly, seventh grader Myah Bagshaw ended the program by saluting those veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice by playing TAPS while the crowd observed a moment of silence.

CCSC is forever grateful for those who have served or are currently serving our country! Thank you for your sacrifices, and thank you for our freedom!
