Clarksville Community School Corporation has made the decision to dismiss early on Monday, August 21, 2017 due to growing concerns about the solar eclipse and the safety of our students.

To avoid any potential risks for our students and staff, the corporation has decided to dismiss students early, prior to the start of the eclipse.  The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

After further research and new information continues to develop into the various types of solar eclipse protection glasses, the CCSC administration does not feel the protection glasses purchased by the district measure up to the highest possible standard.

By implementing early dismissal, CCSC students may return home safely and view the eclipse, if they choose, with parental supervision.

Thank you for your patience and consideration as we navigate through this unique event.

Dismissal Times on Monday, August 21, 2017 are as follows:

Clarksville Elementary School: 11:55 a.m. (No PM Preschool)
Clarksville Middle School: 12:20 p.m.
Clarksville High School: 12:30 p.m.
Renaissance Academy: 12:30 p.m.

CCSC will not be providing transportation for Ivy Tech and PM Prosser students. Students will be allowed to transport themselves with parent permission sent to CHS/RA.

There will be NO Communities in Schools After Care at Clarksville Elementary School.
