Renaissance Academy is a New Technology School – one of just 207 across the nation – meaning it is centered around a culture that empowers, teaching that engages and technology that enables so students are ready for college and career upon graduation.
Being a New Tech School also means learners at Renaissance Academy utilize project-based learning and technology to better prepare for the modern workplace.
Students at Renaissance Academy still have the option of taking some traditional course at Clarksville High School, dual credits through Ivy Tech Sellersburg or Indiana University Southeast, or technical training through Prosser Career Education Center in addition to their New Tech classes, allowing them the option to create a multi-faceted education that is unique to them.
Renaissance Academy is a public, tuition-free high school open to all Indiana residents in grades 9-12.

Welcome to Renaissance Academy! Our staff is excited to begin our sixth year as another school of choice for Southern Indiana. As we look forward to our sixth year, our learners continue to work in a model where they are able to demonstrate leadership and growth in learning. We have a fantastic opportunity to introduce to our community the PBL model and add another piece to the puzzle of increasing student achievement for our young people.

“It’s like a family for my children. They’ve loved every teacher they’ve had or that’s there and they’re excited to be there. I would describe Clarksville schools as a family. That’s really the only way to describe it.”

“We have struggled with helping [Charlie] learn how he learns differently and what works best for him and all of the research and doctor visits and therapy all recommended a place that allowed him a place that allowed him to think outside the box. When he came to the open house at Renaissance Academy he said they speak my language here. This feels like home.”
