Student Spotlight

At Clarksville Community Schools, we already know that each of our nearly 1,400 students is remarkable. Sometimes, those outside our school district take notice of our students as well.

Each year, K-12 students from six states are invited to enter the Ohio River Sweep Poster Contest. This contest is open to students who live or attend school in a county along the Ohio River or students whose county participates in the River Sweep. A poster from each grade level is selected and this year, Clarksville Elementary School’s Jonas Devore was selected as the winner! Jonas won $50 and his poster design is featured on the River Sweep website.

Congratulations Jonas!

Clarksville High School choir students traveled to Indianapolis in February to compete in the State Solo & Ensemble.

All 3 soloists competing (Trinity Linnig, Ari Hart, and Damian Davis) received Gold With Distinction, the highest honor.

The Advanced Choir Girls received a Gold, and the Advanced Choir Boys received a Silver.

Bowling Club member Trenton Murphy bowled a perfect 300 game in the Youth League at Blackiston Bowl, the first in our conference to do so in a sanctioned competition. Trenton was also the Sectional Champion for 2018/19!
