Clarksville High School & Renaissance academy

Clarksville High School opened its doors for the first time in 1955 and ever since the school’s highly dedicated staff has worked to prepare its students for what comes after graduation, be it college, trade school, a military career, or the workforce.

In 2021, Clarksville High School and Renaissance Academy joined forces, bringing together the best of the two learning models to all students grades 9 through 12. Students, rather than choosing between a model, move between buildings to take their core, elective, and pathway courses throughout the day. Project-based learning is utilized in core and elective classes to teach students soft skills alongside academics.

Students may also take dual credit courses through Ivy Tech Sellersburg or Indiana University. This allows them the opportunity to earn college credits before they graduate high school. We offer tracks that allow students to graduate from high school with one or even two years of college completed that are transferable to any in-state public college. Tuition is completely free for our students! As students approach their junior year, they may also apply for programs at Prosser Career Education Center that can lead to employment upon graduation. These different options allow them the ability to create a multi-faceted education that is unique to them.

With the power of the two models combined, Clarksville High School is able to provide similar opportunities of any large school paired with the personal touch only a small school can provide.

Students are heavily encouraged to take advantage of our numerous extracurricular and co-curricular activities, including our athletics, fine arts programs, and many clubs!

Clarksville Middle School

Clarksville Middle School is the pathway between elementary and high school, helping students transition from children to young adults. Our mission at CMS is to foster a safe, positive, inclusive, and community-focused learning environment where students can grow to be lifelong learners and thinkers. CMS is a place of structure that allows students to express themselves as individuals while learning how to be accountable for their academic and behavioral success.

We are proud to share that for a small school, we offer a big variety of academic opportunities for our students, which includes high school credit courses to all 8th grade students.

In addition to our academic offerings, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities, athletics and clubs, that we encourage our students to join. We offer all the traditional sports (football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, cross county, track, and cheerleading), as well as several clubs, which include Student Council, Goblins & Guild Club, Robotics Club, Art Club, Chess Club, and weekly Campus Life meetings.

Clarksville Elementary School

With students from preschool to fourth grade, Clarksville Elementary School’s highly-qualified staff works hard to ensure every child reaches his or her highest potential. The school of about 500 students has many opportunities for students, including physical education, music, art and technology programs in addition to the traditional curriculum.

Students in third and fourth grade have the opportunity to participate in basketball, cheerleading, track and Student Council. Third and fourth graders also have the opportunity to participate in an after school Homework Club through the Communities in Schools program. In addition to our classroom teachers,  the Title One teacher, ELL teacher, Master Teacher, speech teachers, and several assistants work to ensure all needs of our students are met.
