Welcome to Clarksville High School, Home of the Generals!

I am honored to be entering my 11th year as principal of Clarksville High School and my 27th year in education. Without a doubt, one of my favorite things about CHS is our small, close-knit community. Our size allows us to truly know our students, recognize their strengths, and support them as they work toward their individual goals. While we are a small school community, we take pride in offering big opportunities so that our Generals experience the best of both worlds—the opportunities and resources of a larger school combined with the relationships and personal connection of a small school.

Our team is committed to providing every student with a safe, caring, and positive environment where they feel valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. This year, we are excited to strengthen that commitment through our district-wide Kindness Initiative, intentionally creating a culture where kindness, respect, inclusion, and connection are part of who we are and how we treat one another each day.

At CHS, preparing students for the future means providing learning experiences that extend beyond the walls of the traditional classroom. We are committed to expanding opportunities that help our students become future ready, including dual credit courses, work-based learning experiences, career exploration, and authentic, real-world applications of classroom learning. Our goal is for students to graduate not only with a diploma, but also with meaningful experiences, skills, confidence, and a clear understanding of the opportunities available to them after high school.

As we enter the 2026–2027 school year, we remain focused on creating meaningful opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and discover their strengths. We want our students to challenge themselves, explore new opportunities, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they will need to be successful in whatever path they choose after high school.

Our commitment to G.R.I.T.—Growth Mindset, Readiness, Integrity, and Trust – continues to guide our work. These values challenge our Generals to persevere, take ownership of their learning, make responsible choices, and build positive relationships. Together with our focus on kindness and future readiness, G.R.I.T. helps us create an environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

I encourage families to talk with their students about their school experiences, celebrate their successes, and encourage them to take advantage of the many opportunities available at CHS. Please reach out with questions, concerns, ideas, or feedback. We value the partnership between home and school and recognize the important role it plays in helping every student achieve their goals.
