Adrienne Goldman | Principal
Welcome to Clarksville High School, Home of the Generals! I am excited to be entering my sixth year as principal of Clarksville High School and my 22nd year in education.
Having been a part of CCSC for ten years now in different roles, I can say without a doubt that my favorite thing about Clarksville High School is our small community environment! This enables us to be able to get to know all of our students personally and support them as they achieve their goals. While we are a small school community, we have made it a priority to offer a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities to our Generals.
We strive to provide our Generals with many of the same opportunities they would find at other area schools AND offer the personal connection with peers and school staff to make it feel like they are home. Our high school team is committed to providing every student with a safe, caring, and positive environment that encourages each student to realize and desire to reach their full potential – academically and as a member of our community. We believe this is critical to students graduating on time and becoming productive members of our community.
While the 2020-2021 school year was one for the books, I am so proud to have been a part of our school community during the height of the pandemic! Our students, staff, parents, and community did an outstanding job keeping each other safe and ending the school year strong with many successes. As we enter the 2021 – 2022 school year, we will be able to grow together as we focus on collaborative learning through the school-wide implementation of the project-based learning model. Our teachers are working hard to plan for learning opportunities that will engage our Generals in critical thinking, problem solving, community awareness, and collaboration. Another way that we will be able to grow together socially, emotionally, and behaviorally is through the introduction of our new Generals Pride theme of G.R.I.T.! We are going to work on our Growth mindset, Responsibility and Respect, Integrity, and Trust as we move through the 2021-2022 school year.
As you prepare for the 2021 – 2022 school year, we ask that you make sure all contact information is up-to-date in Infinite Campus, respond to emails and phone calls from school staff, check your child’s grades in Infinite Campus weekly and most importantly, talk to your child about their school experience. We also encourage you to call with any questions and complete surveys when they are sent out throughout the school year. Your feedback is valuable and helps us to get to know you and your child better and meet the needs of our CCSC families. We look forward to partnering with you during the school year to be able to provide support at school and home for your child. I truly believe a partnership between school and home encourages each child to achieve more and strive for success in their current and future goals.
I cannot wait to welcome all of our Generals back to school! Our CHS team appreciates you entrusting your child to us for their high school experience. We are thankful to be a part of every General’s path to success! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or your students’ teachers if you have any questions.
