Stephanie Schindler | Vice Principal

Dear CES families,

I am thrilled to join the Generals family for my first year as an assistant principal! I am honored to be given the opportunity to help lead Clarksville Elementary.

I earned both a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Special Education from Western Governors University. I acquired a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. While this is my first year as a school administrator, it is my tenth year in education. I began my career as a 4th grade teacher at Canaan Community  Academy. Next, I taught at Southwestern Elementary as a special education teacher. After that, I served as a reading interventionist, behavioral consultant, and instructional coach at Austin Middle School. Prior to completing my Bachelors Degree, I worked as a substitute teacher for West Clark Community Schools, Scott County School District #2, and Southwestern Jefferson County Schools, and as an instructional aide for New Albany-Floyd County Schools.

In addition to my role as an assistant principal, I am a wife of 24 years and the mother of two wonderful young men. I have lived in southern Indiana my entire life- and the majority of it in Clark County.

My objective as Assistant Principal is to help guide students’ learning in a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment while maintaining the high standards that are expected in Clarksville Community Schools.

I am excited about all we will accomplish with our learners and look forward to a successful school year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Stephanie Schindler
