CHS Principal’s Message

IMG_5996I am excited to be entering my second year as principal of Clarksville High School.  Last year, I was able to learn a lot about our students, school culture and community.  Learning more about our students and school culture led to some policy changes (no backpacks, cell phones, etc.) this year, with the goal of improving class engagement and the daily culture at Clarksville High School.  While change sometimes requires an adjustment period, we firmly believe there will be a direct impact on student engagement during each class.
At CHS, we have a great team in place with some new faces and, of course, some very familiar faces.  On the first day of school, our CHS team made a commitment to the students during a school wide assembly to provide a safe, caring and positive environment that encourages each student to realize and desire to reach their full potential – academically and as a member of our community.  We believe this is critical to students graduating on time and becoming productive members of our community.

We will honor this commitment through high academic, attendance and behavior expectations for our students and by keeping the lines of communication open to our students, parents and community.  We will need your help to maintain these high expectations and open communication.  Please respond to teacher emails and phone calls, call teachers and administrators if you have questions, and most importantly, talk to your child about his/her school day, what homework he/she may have, what activities they participate in, etc.  All families have the ability to check student grades in Infinite Campus.  Grades are updated on a weekly basis so that families can stay up-to-date on class progress.

In closing, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Adrienne Goldman
Principal
