CMS Assistant Principal’s Message

missing-student-id-68I would like to welcome you to Clarksville Middle School.
I am originally from Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School.  I received my Bachelor’s degree in Business Education and my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana State University.   I received my Administrator’s license from Oakland City University.
After graduating from Indiana State University in 1994, I obtained my first teaching assignment as a business teacher at Robinson High School in Robinson, Illinois.  In 2001, I had the opportunity to move back home to the southern Indiana area as a business teacher in the Clarksville Community School Corporation.  While in the CCSC system, I have taught at CES, CMS, and CHS.  I have also been the head girls basketball coach, head baseball coach, and athletic director at Clarksville High School. This year we will implement a new program that utilizes a school-wide housing system,  as we work to build student camaraderie and positive student-teacher relationships here at Clarksville Middle School.
My main duties as the Assistant Principal will be the handling of attendance and discipline.  I will also play a major role in ensuring the success of the TAP system already in place to help foster student success.  As the Assistant Principal, I will also place a major emphasis on the school-wide behavior management plan where students will be expected to be “RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, & READY TO LEARN.”  Communication is a key to success.  Do not hesitate to call me if you have any questions or comments. Together we can and will make Clarksville Middle School the best it can be.

Thanks and have a great 2017-2018 school year.
