About Clarksville Middle School

Mission Statement:

The mission of Clarksville Middle School is to teach students the skills necessary for academic and social success.

Clarksville Middle School is the pathway between elementary and high school, helping students transition from children to young adults. It is our goal to offer quality education and provide a structured environment where individualism can be expressed while holding our young people accountable for their academic success.

We strive to have a great community relationship with the students, parents, families and businesses. Our #1 goal is to have our students leave Clarksville Middle School with an education that will enable them to be successful in high school by receiving their diploma and pursuing their best path, be it post-secondary education, the military or going straight into the workforce.

Built in 1968, Clarksville Middle School runs a traditional seven period day for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students and a traditional elementary schedule for fifth grade students. We currently serve the educational needs of approximately 400 energetic and eager young people.

The academic curriculum follows the core standards established by the federal and state government. We offer a variety of opportunities for our students including two foreign languages (Spanish and German), physical education, visual art, music, band, chorus, technology and drama. We also offer three courses for high school credit (algebra, foreign language and technology education).

We encourage our students to participate in extracurricular activities. We have a very active Student Council, Charger Honor Society and Campus Life meetings are held weekly. In addition, students athletes can participate in football, volleyball, cheer leading, boys’ and girls’ tennis, cross country, boys’ and girls’ basketball, seventh- and eighth-grade boys’ and girls’ track.
