CES Assistant Principal’s Message

My name is Carey Davis and I’m so excited to be returning for my 6th year as Assistant Principal at CES! 2019-2020 is going to be a wonderful year! I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education and Mental Health from the University of Colorado.  While in schools for my Master’s degree, I taught grades KDG-3rd.  Upon moving to Tennessee, I was the Education and Nutrition Specialist for a Head Start/ Early Head Start Program, prior to returning to the classroom as a Title I teacher and first grade teacher.  While in Tennessee, I completed my EdS and Administrators License.

Upon moving to southern Indiana, I was fortunate enough to take some time to stay home with my children, Cooper and Charleigh.  I then took a position in West Clark Schools, ultimately leading to my position here at CES. After my various experiences in education in different districts and states, I can honestly say that CES and CCSC have the highest level of instruction and experienced and talented teachers that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

As part of the CES team, I handle various things on a daily basis, much of which revolves around attendance and discipline.  I challenge our students to be at school every day, unless they are sick. I also encourage our students to follow our PBIS acronym in all areas of their lives-REACH (respect, empathy, attitude, cooperation, and honesty).

My main goal as Assistant Principal is to make sure your child has a safe, positive and challenging place to learn.  If I can be of assistance to you to help your child meet these goals, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

I know this year will be another great year at Clarksville Elementary, and I’m so thrilled to be a part of this school and community!
